OnePlus iconic alert slider will be confined to Pro models while reaching some Oppo flagships. The classic alert slider, a feature on all OnePlus smartphones, has been missing from upcoming models like the OnePlus 10T.
According to leaks by Yogesh Brar, only OnePlus flagship phones with an alert slider will be available after this point. So far, the custom slider, introduced on Android devices, first came in handy when Oppo merged its operating system and began to offer iPhones-like software experience on their devices.

But now that the affordable OnePlus 10T is here and will adopt this trend, some might not like the change. The decision to drop the alert slider could stem from lingering resentment between OxygenOS and ColorOS (which debuted on the newly evolved Oppo Nord N series).
After all, rumors circulated that a merger between these two would simplify everything for users – but again, it’s just a rumor, so it may not happen. There’s no way of knowing whether or not this will transpire…we’ll just have to wait for an official announcement.
