OnePlus 16 teaser hints at a redesigned camera module

Alongside the official announcement, a teaser image claiming to show the OnePlus 16 has started circulating on Chinese social media. Although its authenticity remains unverified, the image suggests the phone could switch to a circular rear camera module instead of the square design used on the OnePlus 15.

Another AI-generated render based on the leaked teaser has also appeared online, showing a design similar to last year’s Realme GT series.
OnePlus 16 expected specifications
Previous leaks suggest the OnePlus 16 could feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The flagship is also expected to pack a battery of around 9,000mAh with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 16 may run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Other rumored features include Android 16-based ColorOS 17, an X-axis linear vibration motor, symmetrical stereo speakers, and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
According to previous reports, OnePlus could officially launch the OnePlus 16 in China in early October.
