It will come with 12 GB of RAM, Android 12 out of the box, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset – none is a surprise. We were pleasantly surprised by the score that this OnePlus phone produced 976 for one core and 3,469 for multiple cores. These numbers are not as good as the 1,100+ or 3,600+ we scored from our tests of the OnePlus nine and OnePlus 9 Pro at the time we tried these phones.
One of the most plausible explanations for the lackluster scores is OnePlus hasn’t yet upgraded its 10 Pro to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, or at least the phone which is used to test isn’t fully developed. It’s also possible this is a deliberate decision by OnePlus as we’ve observed that the company tends to design phones that perform poorly to prolong battery longevity.
