Motorola Moto G Play (2024) launches in the US market, sale will begin on February 8

Following the recent release of the Motorola G34 5G in India, the Lenovo-owned brand has introduced a new G-series phone for the US market – the Moto G Play (2024). This model succeeds the Moto G Play (2023) from 2022, bringing notable upgrades. Let’s explore the features of the latest G Play (2024).

The Motorola Moto G Play (2024) features a 6.5″ HD+ 90Hz LCD with 500 nits peak brightness. It is 8.45mm thick and weighs 192g. There’s also a 5100 mm2 vapor cooling system to keep the phone’s thermals under control. The Moto G Play (2024) will be powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor and paired up with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage onboard, but there will likely be more memory options. But that can be expanded up to 6GB with virtual RAM. This device runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

Around the back, it has a rectangular camera bump with two circles, but only one houses a camera since the other is for the flash. On the back, it features a 50MP sensor with an LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. A 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging will boast it.

The Motorola Moto G Play (2024) features flat edges, housing the volume button and power key on the right side and a SIM card slot on the left. Additionally, the power button serves as a fingerprint scanner. On the other features, there are USB-C port at the bottom, flanked by a microphone and speaker, with a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

The Moto G Play (2024) will be available only in Sapphire Blue. It costs $150. The sale will begin in the US starting February 8.
