Motorola Moto E14 TUV certification confirms 5000mAh battery

The Moto E13 was announced in January 2023 and hit stores the next month. With its annual release pattern, we’re overdue for its successor. It appears Motorola is actively developing the Moto E14, as it’s now undergoing required certifications before its launch.

Motorola Moto E14 TDRA and TUV database listings

The TDRA database in the UAE found the Moto E14. It confirms the name and model number, XT2421-14. A TUV Rheinland certification also shows the phone will have a battery rated at 4,880 mAh.

These batteries claim to have a typical capacity of 5,000 mAh. The phone underwent testing with 10W, 15W, and 20W adapters to earn this certification. This suggests it might support 20W wired charging. However, there’s no guarantee that it will come with a charger, and if it does, it might not be the fastest one available.

That’s all the information we currently have about the Moto E14. With certifications underway, we anticipate learning more soon. For comparison, the previous model, E13, features a 6.5-inch 720×1600 LCD touchscreen, Unisoc T606 SoC, and options for 2/4/8GB RAM and 32/64/128GB expandable storage. Like its successor, it also packs a 5,000 mAh battery, but it only supports a maximum of 10W charging. Therefore, a move to 20W would mark a significant improvement.

Considering these specifications, the E14, similar to its predecessor, should be highly affordable upon release. We’ll keep you updated on any developments.
