Motorola Edge 70 Neo appears on Geekbench ahead of India launch
Motorola’s upcoming smartphone, Motorola Edge 70 Neo, is confirmed to launch in India soon. Today, it has appeared on the Geekbench benchmark, revealing its processor performance and OS info. However, the company hasn’t revealed the full specifications yet.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo Geekbench performance
The Motorola Edge 70 Neo was spotted on Geekbench with the QTI SM7635 chip, 6GB of RAM, Adreno 810 GPU, and Android 16 OS. The marketing name of the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
The Neo 70 scored 723 in the single-core test and 2,943 points in the multi-core test. The listing shows that this device will feature an octa-core CPU setup with four cores clocked at 1.80GHz, three at 2.40GHz, and a prime core reaching 2.50GHz.
A previous leak suggested that the Motorola Edge 70 Neo could launch with Android 17, but the Geekbench showed Android 16.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo could be a rebranded Edge 70 Plus (Global)
Interestingly, the Edge 70 Neo uses the same chipset as the global Motorola Edge 70 Plus. This suggests that the Edge 70 Neo could be a rebranded version of the Edge 70 Plus for the Indian market. Motorola has also used a similar strategy with some of its previous Edge-series smartphones.
Based on the CPU listing, we may say that the device will deliver mid-range performance. The rest of the specs may follow a mid-range level as well.
Motorola has yet to reveal the display, battery, and camera specifications of the Edge 70 Neo. A few days ago, we got a leaked design, which showed that the device may feature a 200MP camera. More details may surface soon, as the launch gets closer.
