Motorola is preparing to introduce the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, codenamed Marvel on Geekbench, as a new addition to its Edge series. Recent leaks confirm that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It will be paired with 12GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset
The Edge 70 Fusion uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which includes a prime core clocked at 2.71GHz, three performance cores running at 2.40GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.80GHz. The Adreno 810 GPU handles graphics duties and delivers improved gaming and overall graphics performance over the previous generation.
Geekbench Scores
According to Geekbench listings, the Edge 70 Fusion scores 1,215 in single-core and 3,186 in multi-core. In GPU testing, the device scores 3,569 in OpenCL, indicating respectable graphics capabilities for a mid-range chipset.
Expected Specs
Motorola is expected to equip the Edge 70 Fusion with a 6.78-inch 1.5K QC OLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. For photography, the phone may feature a 50MP main camera and an IP69 rating for dust- and water-resistance. In addition, the device could feature a large ~7,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.
Final Thoughts
With a high-refresh-rate OLED display, a large battery, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is shaping up to be a strong contender in the upper mid-range segment. Motorola is yet to announce the official launch timeline.
