Motorola has officially launched the new Moto G Max in Brazil. Interestingly, the smartphone is essentially a rebranded version of the Moto G87 that debuted earlier this year. Despite the name change, the device retains the same premium design, high-resolution camera, and large AMOLED display.
Moto G Max Specifications
The Moto G Max features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and can reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
The device measures 7.38mm in thickness and weighs 183 grams. For durability, it comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification.
Under the hood, the Moto G Max is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 16 out of the box.
For photography, the Moto G Max features a 200MP primary camera with OIS support and an f/1.8 aperture. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. On the front, Motorola includes a 32MP selfie camera for photos and video calls.
The smartphone packs a 5,200mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging. Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, advanced water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a premium slim design.
Price and Availability
The Moto G Max is currently available in Brazil through Motorola’s official channels. The smartphone is available at BRL 2,519.10 and comes in a single 8GB + 256GB storage configuration. Motorola has not yet confirmed whether the Moto G Max branding will expand to other markets or remain exclusive to Brazil.
