MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is official – 6nm, 3GHz Cortex-A78, 5G. In a quiet manner, MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 1300 chipset, which set to launched in the 2T/3 OnePlus. The chip, which is based using TSMC’s 6nm process comes with an octa core processor, 4 Cortex A78 cores (one Ultra, running up to 3GHz as well as three Super cores, with speeds up to 2.6GHz) in addition to four Cortex A55 efficiency cores that can scale upwards to 2GHz. Graphics processor is nine-core AMD Mali-G77 MCM9.

The Dimensity 1300 is able to support the possibility of 168Hz displays that can reach FullHDplus resolution which is 2520×1080 pixels. It can paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x memory with 4266Mbps.

Its Dimensity 1300 supports UFS 3.1 type storage. The ISP can support cameras up to 200 megapixels and can record multi-person portrait mode video and 4K HDR footage. It also supports hardware-accelerated AV1 decoding to allow more efficient streaming in 4K. 

MediaTek hasn’t announced which devices will debut using the Dimensity 1300 first, but we’re predicting to see the OnePlus Nord 3 to be one of the list. Its Dimensity 1300 should offer performance similar to Qualcomm’s top-performing 7-series processor, the Snapdragon 778G.
