Lava Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G India launch delayed to July 24, key specifications confirmed
Lava has postponed the launch of its first Virat series smartphones in India. The company initially planned to unveil the Virat V1 on July 21, but it has now confirmed that both the Lava Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G will debut on July 24. Lava has also revealed the key specifications of both smartphones ahead of launch.
Lava Virat V1 5G specifications
The Lava Virat V1 5G will feature a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The smartphone will run Android 16 out of the box with a clean software experience free from ads and bloatware.
For photography, the Virat V1 5G will feature a 13MP dual rear camera setup and a 5MP front camera. It will also pack a 6,000mAh battery and come with an IP64-rated dust and splash-resistant body.
Lava will offer the phone in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold color options.
Lava Virat V1 specifications
The standard Virat V1 will be powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Unlike the 5G model, it will ship with Android 15 Go Edition, but Lava will still offer a clean software experience without ads or bloatware.
The phone features the same 6.75-inch HD+ display, although Lava has not confirmed its refresh rate. It packs a smaller 5,000mAh battery.
For cameras, the Virat V1 also includes a 13MP dual rear camera setup and a 5MP selfie camera. Other confirmed features include an IP64 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone will be available in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver.
Lava Virat V1 series availability
Lava will sell both the Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G exclusively through Flipkart. Buyers will also get Lava’s free home service support.
The company has not announced the pricing yet. However, Lava previously confirmed that the Virat series will be priced below ₹25,000 in India.
