Lava has officially introduced the Lava Bold 2 5G in India. However, the device is not entirely new. The company has simply reintroduced an existing phone under a new name.
In fact, the Lava Bold 2 5G is a rebranded version of the Blaze AMOLED 2. Lava launched that model in August last year. The new phone carries the same design and specifications.
Lava Bold 2 5G Specifications
The Lava Bold 2 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display. It comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water protection, and there will be an in-display fingerprint scanner. Lava offers the phone in Feather White and Midnight Black color options.
For performance, Lava equips the Bold 2 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset. The phone comes with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. There will be 6GB of virtual RAM. On the software side, the device runs Android 15 out of the box.
The Lava Bold 2 5G includes a 50MP main camera on the rear. Lava uses the Sony IMX752 sensor for the primary shooter. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera. This device sports a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Price and Availability
The main change comes in the pricing. Lava now sells the Lava Bold 2 5G at INR 12,999 (around $140). This price is INR 1,000 lower than the launch price of the Blaze AMOLED 2 with the same 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The device will go on sale through Amazon India starting March 19.
