iQOO Z9x 5G specifications revealed ahead of 17 May launch

The iQOO Z9x 5G will be revealed in India on May 17. Amazon has created a microsite for it, confirming its availability on the platform. The listing also unveils new specifications of the phone. Earlier, it was announced that the phone would run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.

The microsite claims that the iQOO Z9x 5G is India’s slimmest phone, boasting a huge 6,000mAh battery. It promises two days of usage on one charge and supports 44W fast charging, providing 10 hours of usage with just a 30-minute charge.

The phone will come with 8GB RAM, expandable up to 1TB, and features a 6.72-inch display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. It offers a seven-level 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. For audio, it includes dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res certification and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The iQOO Z9x 5G is waterproof and dustproof with an IP64 certification. It’s hinted to be the pioneer in its category, but the exact price range is unknown. The power button contains a fingerprint scanner. On the back, there’s a square-shaped camera module with a 50MP main sensor and another lens.

Regarding software, the iQOO Z9x 5G will come with Android 14 pre-installed and will receive two OS updates and three years of security patches.
