iPhone Air 2 tipped for March 2027 launch with major upgrades and thinner design

Apple’s 2027 Spring launch window will introduce the iPhone 18, 18e and iPhone Air 2. We already got some major leaks on the standard iPhone 18 and Air 2, while some leaked factory units also revealed the design of the base model. Now, we got another major leak on the iPhone Air 2, revealing the same key specifications with expected price.
Reliable leakers, @Saurav_DJ47 and DCS revealed the major specifications and expected price of the iPhone Air 2. According to the latest leaks, Apple is planning several upgrades to its next ultra-thin iPhone, including a dual rear camera setup, a larger battery and improved audio.

The Air 2 may feature a 6.55-inch 120Hz OLED display with a 1.5K+ resolution. The front panel may sport a smaller Dynamic Island, as we saw in the iPhone 18 Pro series. The handset is expected to come with 5.2mm ultra-thin profile, which make it more thin than last year’s iPhone Air.

Under the hood, the iPhone Air 2 will have a 2nm A20-series chipset paired with 12GB of RAM, along with Apple’s next-generation N2 wireless chip and C2 modem.
The iPhone Air 2 will get a major upgrade on camera segment over the Air model. The Air model offered single 48MP rear camera, while the Air 2 will have dual rear camera setup. The rear camera setup includes two 48MP sensor, one for primary and another for ultra-wide.

The Air 2 would get a 3,500mAh battery or large battery, a major upgrade over the iPhone Air’s 3,149mAh battery. Another expected change is the addition of a second speaker at the bottom, which could bring stereo audio output to the device. These upgrades would address some of the major limitations of the original iPhone Air.
As we said earlier, the Air 2 will launch on Spring 2027 launch window. This device may come with a starting price around $1,099. However, Apple has not confirmed any of these details yet. The specifications, pricing and launch timeline remain based on early leaks and rumors.
