iOS 16

With widgets on the lock screen, Apple enhances notifications and new features to Messages. There is also native support for digital IDs and Pay Later, which will be available in the next generation of phones. Plus, Apple uses an AI to detect your sleep schedule, offering a clock for you to check when you wake up at night or want to leave a message before you go to sleep.

If your iPhone’s version number is 16, but it’s not in 2017 or later, you are out of luck! The latest iOS update no longer supports the iPhone 6s models, either.
