The Huawei Pocket S is a cheaper clamshell that uses the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 778G chipset. The internal display is a 6.9-inch OLED with a 2790 x 1188-pixel resolution. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency of 1440Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz.

The Snapdragon 778G chipset can only support LTE networks. The selfie camera is nested within a punch hole and uses the same 10.7 MP sensor as the P50 Pocket. Above the cameras on the back is a circular display that is 1.04 inches in diameter and uses an OLED with a resolution of 340 by 340 pixels.

A 40-megapixel camera with an RYYB sensor and f/1.8 lens is housed in the back of the phone, accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultrawide-angle shooter. Replaced the P50 Pocket’s 32MP sensor with a laser autofocus (AF) sensor.

Given that this phone is intended for the Chinese market, it is not unexpected that the operating system is Harmony OS 3.0. It comes with many pre-installed applications for the local audience and allows adjustments for the cover screen’s AOD capabilities.

The Huawei Pocket S’s cooling system uses a thin, flexible graphite sheet. Rapid charging at 40 watts is available from the 4,000 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims that the hinge’s wing mechanism has been tested to withstand opening and closing 400 thousand times.

As opposed to the P50 Pocket’s beautiful gradients and patterns, the Pocket S is available in five solid colors from Huawei. Various colors, including mint green, gold yellow, rose pink, ice crystal blue, and black, are available for the foldable.
