Huawei appears to have quietly introduced the new Huawei Nova Y74 in global markets. The smartphone arrives as a budget-focused 4G offering with a large battery, 90Hz display, and a familiar design that closely resembles the Huawei Enjoy 90 Plus launched in China earlier this year.
Huawei Nova Y74 Specifications
The Huawei Nova Y74 features a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 850 nits peak brightness.
Huawei has not officially revealed the chipset powering the device. However, reports suggest that the phone could use a Kirin 800-series processor, similar to the Enjoy 90 Plus. The smartphone runs EMUI 12 and includes Huawei’s X Button feature, which offers quick access to apps, shortcuts, and frequently used functions.
For photography, the device features a 50MP rear camera housed inside a square-shaped camera module. On the front, it gets an 8MP selfie camera for photos and video calls.
The Nova Y74 has a 6,620mAh battery, which supports 40W wired fast charging. Huawei claims the battery can provide up to 25 hours of online video playback on a single charge.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, dual-SIM 4G support, a USB Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Nova Y74 comes in Black and Blue. Huawei has yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the smartphone.
