Huawei Nova 12 series launched in China, is on pre-order now

Today, Huawei, the Chinese brand launched the Huawei Nova 12 series- Huawei Nova 12, Nova 12 Lite, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. Pre-book the Huawei Nova 12 series smartphones now on VMall in China! These models will be available for purchase from January 5, 2024. But the Ultra will be available beginning January 12, 2024. Huawei Nova 12 and Nova 12 Lite specifications

The Huawei Nova 12 features a 6.7″ 120Hz OLED display of 2,412×1,084 pixels. There is a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication and a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. It also supports 1B colors and has a P3 wide color gamut. It is powered by aKirin 830 SoC and 256/512 GB storage. The RAM option isn’t unveiled yet. It boasts a “bionic breathing liquid-cooling pulsating heat conduction” feature (translated from Chinese) that claims to enhance heat dissipation by 60 times. The Nova 12 measures 6.98mm in thickness and weighs 191 g. It runs on HarmonyOS 4 out of the box.

On the camera option, you will get a 50MP primary camera (with RYYB color filter array), and an 8MP ultrawide camera (112˚ FOV) on the back. And a 60MP ultrawide selfie camera (100˚ FOV) on the front. There is also an LED flash and a laser focus sensor on the back. A 4,600 mAh battery with 100W charging boasts this smartphone. On the other features, you will get USB-C and NFC service.

The Huawei Nova 12 Lite also features quite similar specs to the vanilla one. But it is powered by Snapdragon 778G and features a 50MP primary camera without an RYYB color filter array while flaunting a back panel with a different design. It is also slimmer (6.88mm), lighter (168 g), and features a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

Pricing details

The Huawei Nova 12 and Nova 12 Lite offer the same color choices and storage variants. The Nova 12 is available in 256GB and 512GB versions, priced at CNY2,999 ($420/€380/INR34,915) and CNY3,399 ($475/€430/INR39,570) respectively. Meanwhile, the Nova 12 Lite’s 256GB and 512GB models come with price tags of CNY2,499 ($350/€320/INR29,095) and CNY2,799 ($390/€355/INR32,585) respectively.

Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra specifications

The Huawei Nova 12 Ultra features a 6.76″ LTPO OLED with a screen refresh rate of 1-120Hz and a resolution of 2,776×1,224 pixels. There is a Kunlun Glass protection and a center-aligned pill-shaped notch for two selfie cameras. It supports 1B colors and has a P3 wide color gamut. It is powered by a Kirin 9000S SoC and 512GB/1TB storage. The RAM option isn’t unveiled yet. The smartphone also has satellite calling and messaging supported by a two-way Beidou satellite messaging system. The Nova 12 Ultra weighs 198 g. It runs on HarmonyOS 4 out of the box.

On the camera option, you will get a 50MP variable aperture of F/1.4~4.0 primary camera (with RYYB color filter array), and an 8MP ultrawide camera (112˚ FOV) on the back. And a 60MP ultrawide (100˚ FOV and autofocus) joined by an 8MP unit (2x optical zoom) for portraits on the front. There is also an LED flash and a laser focus sensor on the back. A 4,600 mAh battery with 100W charging boasts this smartphone. The Nova 12 Ultra’s rear panel is covered with faux leather and has a 3D embossing of Huawei and Nova branding. On the other features, you will get a USB-C, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual-band GPS, NFC, and stereo speakers.

The Huawei Nova 12 Pro also features quite similar specs to the Ultra one. But it has one extra color option, more weight (201 g), and no faux leather back. The Pro model also has lower base storage and doesn’t have a 1TB option.

Pricing details

The Huawei Nova 12 Ultra is available in 512GB and 1TB storage, priced at CNY4,699 ($660/€600/INR54,700) and CNY5,499 ($770/€700/INR64,020). The Nova 12 Pro offers 256GB and 512GB storage options, with prices of CNY3,999 ($560/€510/INR46,560) and CNY4,399 ($615/€560/INR51,200), respectively.
