Huawei confirms that its partnership with Leica has ended. Xiaomi announced late today the end of its partnership with Leica after approached by Android Authority. The Chinese tech giant plans to leave Leica branding on its phones until the company is able to find another partner, and this means that summer’s time frame will feature the last Huawei phone with a Leica camera.

The Huawei Mate 50 will also not have a logo on its screen and it may come in July. There were rumors as early as May that Leica was looking to jump ship, but it seems like Xiaomi won over.

Xiaomi’s first ever partnership with a camera maker is coming soon in July but more details haven’t given just yet about what type of phone this will be or even if it will made by Xiaomi.
