Honor unveiled the Magic V2, their latest foldable phone. It is the thinnest foldable smartphone in history. It comes with a cool design and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Let’s check out the full specifications, price, and availability.

Magic v2 design
The Magic V2 has a cool design with a gearless hinge made of 3D-printed titanium alloy. The folding mechanism uses special short screws. It’s incredibly slim, measuring only 9.9mm when folded (4.7mm when unfolded), and weighs just 231 grams. It doesn’t have official water protection, but it has a P2i coating to guard against water splashes.
Magic V2 has a large 7.92-inch primary screen with a 2,156 x 2,344 px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is HDR 10+ compliant and can crank out up to 1,600 nits of brightness in auto mode. Moreover, it has a 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming feature to prevent flickering in animations. The front-facing camera is 16MP and there is support for using a stylus on the screen.
The cover screen of the device is 6.43 inches in size and uses a high-quality OLED panel. It has a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The cover screen has a brightness of up to 2,500 nits in auto mode and supports stylus input, making it convenient for taking notes while traveling.
Magic V2 has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with a fast Cortex-X3 prime core at 3.36 GHz. It comes in two versions: one with 12GB RAM and 256/512 GB storage, and the other called Magic V2 Ultrame, which has 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
At the rear, Magic V2 has a 50MP main camera with a f/1.9 aperture and OIS. It also includes a 50MP wide-angle camera with a smaller aperture (f/2.0 aperture) and a 20MP telephoto module with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS.
Operating system and battery
The Magic V2 smartphone has MagicOS 7.2 software, which is based on Android 13. It has a 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 66W wired charging.
Honor Magic V2 price and availability
The phone comes in Black, Silk Black, Silk Purple, and Gold colors. The starting price for the 12/256GB model is CNY 8,999, the 12/512GB model is CNY 9,999, and the high-end Magic V2 Ultimate edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs CNY 11,999.
