Google still working on Face Unlock for Pixel 6 series

Google still working on Face Unlock for Pixel 6 series. It’s a shame that the Google Pixel 6 duo still aren’t equipped with Face Unlock for more than half a year after their first launch. According to rumours,

Google wanted to implement facial recognition on its phones, but it missed the deadline and eventually released its flagship phones with no feature.

There is a little chance of success, as XDA Recognized Developer Freak07 has discovered fresh evidence for Face Unlock in the Pixel 6 series while digging through the Android 12 Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) 3 Beta.

This evidence suggests that Google may still be pushing Face Unlock for Pixel 6 phones in the future as a software update, but there’s no timeframe for release currently.

There’s also a possibility that Google is currently working on bringing facial recognition features to a forthcoming Pixel phone, and is currently testing the feature on the Pixel 6 device. Based on the previous reports, Face Unlock on Pixel 6 was drawing too much power in the face recognition phase.
