Google Pixel 11a key specifications leak, Tensor G6 chipset could be a major upgrade

Google’s next affordable Pixel smartphone has surfaced in a new leak, and it could bring one of the biggest upgrades the A-series has seen in years. The latest rumor suggests the Pixel 11a may finally ditch the older Tensor chipset in favor of Google’s upcoming Tensor G6 processor.
Google Pixel 11a specifications tipped
According to a new leak, the Google Pixel 11a could be powered by the Tensor G6 chipset. If true, it would be a significant upgrade over the Pixel 10a, which launched with the previous-generation Tensor G4 processor.

Previous leaks suggest the Tensor G6 could be Google’s first 2nm chipset. The Pixel 11 series may debut with this processor on August 12, while the Pixel 11a is rumored to arrive in March 2027.
The leak also claims the Pixel 11a carries the internal codename “Formosan.” It may feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with up to 2,250 nits of high-brightness mode and a peak brightness of 3,350 nits. The panel will support HDR.

Google may continue to offer 8GB RAM on the Pixel 11a. The phone may pack a battery with a minimum rated capacity of 4,870mAh, which likely translates to a typical capacity of around 5,000mAh or 5,100mAh.
The report further suggests that the Pixel 11a could use a slightly lower-binned version of the Tensor G6 chip. However, it may still include the new MediaTek M90 modem and the Titan M3 security chip found in the flagship Pixel 11 lineup.

Another leak hints at a new selfie camera for the Pixel 11a, although its specifications remain unknown. The front camera reportedly carries the internal codename “dokkaebi.” The Pixel 11a may launch in Black, Green, Purple, and Silver color options.
As always, Google has not officially confirmed any of these details, so it’s best to take them with a pinch of salt until more information surfaces.
