Redmi recently introduced the Note 17 series in China, and the global launch now appears to be just around the corner. The lineup will debut in India on August 6, while Europe is also expected to get the new smartphones soon.
A new leak has now revealed the complete specifications of all four global models: the Redmi Note 17 4G, Redmi Note 17 5G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G.
Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 5G specifications
The Redmi Note 17 will arrive in both 4G and 5G variants. Both models are expected to feature a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a resolution of 1080 × 2396 pixels.
Redmi will reportedly power the 4G model with the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset, while the 5G version will use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor.
The 4G model may offer 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options with up to 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the 5G variant may launch with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
For photography, both phones could feature a 50MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera. The leak also suggests both models will pack a 7,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging, run Android 16-based HyperOS 3, and carry an IP65 rating.
Redmi Note 17 Pro specifications
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset will likely power the device alongside up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of storage. According to the leak, the 128GB variant will use UFS 2.2 storage, while the larger storage options will feature faster UFS 3.1.
The phone may include a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front camera. Battery capacity could increase to 8,340mAh with support for 67W fast charging. Redmi may offer IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for improved durability.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max specifications
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will reportedly sit at the top of the lineup. The phone is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The 128GB variant may use UFS 2.1 storage, while the 256GB and 512GB models could switch to faster UFS 4.0.
For cameras, the Pro Max may upgrade the selfie camera to 32MP. The rear camera specifications, however, remain unchanged in the latest leak. The biggest highlight could be its massive 9,210mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W fast charging.
Expected pricing
Previous reports suggest the Redmi Note 17 4G could start at €250 in Europe. The Redmi Note 17 5G may cost €400, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G may launch at €500. The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G could carry a starting price of €600.
Since Redmi has not officially confirmed these specifications yet, it’s best to treat them as leaks until the global launch.
