Vivo appears to be preparing a major battery upgrade for the upcoming Vivo X500 series. A new leak from Smart Pikachu suggests that Vivo may finally bring 7,000mAh-class batteries to more flagship X-series smartphones.
According to the tipster, Vivo plans to adopt high-density battery technology more aggressively across its flagship lineup. As a result, multiple Vivo X500 series devices could enter the “7-series” battery range, hinting at capacities starting around 7,000mAh.
Currently, only the Vivo X300 Ultra crosses the 7,000mAh mark with its 7,100mAh battery. The standard Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro feature 6,040mAh and 6,510mAh batteries, respectively, while the Vivo X300s packs a 6,000mAh unit.
Vivo X500 series expected models and specifications
Reports suggest that Vivo could launch three X500 series smartphones in China around September this year. The lineup may include the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500 Pro Max.
The standard X500 may feature a 6.59-inch display, while the X500 Pro could use a compact 6.37-inch panel. The top-end X500 Pro Max is expected to feature a larger 6.85-inch display.
On the performance side, the standard X500 lineup could use MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 series chipsets. Meanwhile, the future Vivo X500 Ultra may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
Reports suggest that Vivo may launch the X500 Ultra separately during the first half of next year. The Ultra model could also share the same display size as the X500 Pro Max.
In addition, leaks also mention a possible Vivo X500e variant, although its market availability remains unclear at the moment.
