Asus ROG Phone 8 series launched in China, pre-order now

ASUS launched the ROG Phone 8 series globally at CES in Las Vegas last week and has now brought the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro to the Chinese market with identical specifications. These phones, succeeding the ROG Phone 7, have minor differences but are essentially the same. Check out the details for the Chinese market below.

Asus ROG Phone 8 series Features and Specifications

ASUS has revamped the design of the latest ROG Phones, moving away from the bulky gaming-inspired look. The new devices sport a more mainstream appearance, featuring a slightly boxy design, a squarish rear camera module, and a dual-tone back panel. The standard model comes with a customizable Aura RGB lightning logo. While the pro variant boasts a mini-LED lightning system with 341 LEDs. Both ROG Phone 8 models are IP68-certified for dust and water resistance. Equipped with AirTrigger buttons for gaming and a 5-magnet speaker system, these phones mark a departure from past models that had thick bezels, now showcasing a center-aligned punch-hole display with thin bezels all around.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 series features a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution 165Hz LTPO refresh rate, and 2,500 nits peak brightness. They also sport integrated fingerprint scanners and glove touch support. This series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The regular version comes with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. While the pro model offers a maximum of 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. A heat dissipation system uses conduction cooling, and the latest AeroActive Cooler accessory is now smaller and lighter.

On the back, it features triple cameras – a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and OIS and an LED flash. On the front, there is a 32MP RGBW selfie camera. A 5,500mAh battery unit with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging support boasts this duo.
