iPhone 18 and 18e battery leak reveals 4,430mAh capacity, bigger than Pro model
Apple will launch the iPhone 18 base model around March 2027 along with the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2. Today, a new leak claimed that Apple is reportedly planning a major battery upgrade for its standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e.

According to the leak, the upcoming iPhone 18 could feature a 4,430mAh battery, potentially surpassing the iPhone 18 Pro’s 4,288mAh capacity. If accurate, this would be a major upgrade for Apple iPhone’s base models. One of the major reasons behind the rumored battery upgrade could be Apple’s move towards an eSIM-only design. The iPhone 18 may ditch the physical SIM card slot, allowing Apple to make better use of the internal space.
However, a physical SIM variant may also be in development, although it could come with a smaller battery capacity than the eSIM-only version. For reference, the physical SIM variant of the iPhone 18 Pro reportedly packs a 4,056mAh battery. It remains to be seen whether the standard iPhone 18’s physical SIM version will surpass that capacity. The upcoming model is also said to feature a redesigned linear vibration motor.
The leaked image also hinted at the battery upgrade of the affordable iPone 18e, which will share the same internal design. The 18e model could get around 10% upgrade in battery over its predecessor, an may arrive with the same 4,430mAh battery.
According to past leaks, the iPhone 18 could feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED display, 2nm A20 chipset, paired with 9GB of RAM and C2 modem. The camera setup could include a 48MP main sensor and a 48MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, there will be an 18MP front camera.
The factory unit and CAD based renders leaked the design and color choices for the iPhone 18. As of now we got five colors: White, Pink, Dark Blue, Yellow, and Green. The launch is still months away, and the phone is in development phase. So, we will get more updates soon on this device.
