Redmi K100 Pro Max gaming test results revealed ahead of launch, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 shines

Redmi has shared the first official gaming performance results of the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro Max ahead of its August 11 launch in China. The company claims the flagship delivers higher sustained performance and significantly better power efficiency thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a dedicated D2 display chip, and a massive 9,070mAh battery.

Redmi Product Manager Xinxin_Mia shared the benchmark results, which were conducted by reviewer New Technology. According to Redmi, the company has further optimized the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to deliver more stable gaming performance while reducing power consumption.

Redmi also claims the K100 Pro Max offers around 40% better battery life than its predecessor, even during demanding gaming sessions.
Gaming benchmark results
The Redmi K100 Pro Max delivered stable frame rates across several popular mobile games. In Honor of Kings, the phone maintained an average of 119.7fps while consuming only 3.63W of power. After a 60-minute session, the temperature reached 41.5°C.

The device achieved another 119.7fps average in Peace Elite, drawing 4.09W of power and reaching a peak temperature of 44.4°C. In Delta Force, the smartphone maintained 119.5fps on average while consuming 5.37W, with temperatures climbing to 45.3°C.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max also handled Genshin Impact smoothly. It delivered an average frame rate of 59.9fps while consuming 4.67W of power, and the temperature peaked at 44.1°C.

Honkai: Star Rail pushed the hardware the hardest. Even then, the device averaged 55.6fps, consumed 6.80W of power, and reached a maximum temperature of 52.2°C. Despite the heavier workload, Redmi says the phone maintained stable performance throughout the test.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max will officially launch in China on August 11, where Xiaomi is expected to reveal its complete specifications, pricing, and availability.
