Redmi K100 Pro Max rumored to switch to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The Redmi K100 Pro Max has surfaced again in a fresh leak, revealing more details about its chipset, display, cameras, and battery. The first information about the device appeared back in March, and tipster Digital Chat Station has now shared another update on Weibo. The new leak suggests Redmi may have changed its original chipset plan for the upcoming flagship.
Redmi K100 Pro Max specifications tipped
According to the latest leak, the Redmi K100 Pro Max will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Earlier reports had pointed to the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, but Redmi now appears to be using the older chip. The change could be related to cost and component availability. Using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 may allow Redmi to allocate more budget toward RAM and storage.

The phone will feature a flat display with a 185Hz refresh rate and large rounded corners. The exact resolution has not been revealed, but the panel is described as ultra-high resolution.

For photography, the Redmi K100 Pro Max may include a 200MP primary camera with a large sensor. It may feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
Battery capacity could be another major highlight. The leak claims the phone will pack at least a 9,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and may also feature Wireless charging.
Other rumored features include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, a large vibration motor, and a premium speaker system.
Redmi has not confirmed the launch date yet. Since the Redmi K90 Pro Max launched in October last year, the Redmi K100 Pro Max could also debut around the same time this year. Stay connected with us to know more.
