Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G to launch in India on March 17, specs confirmed
Earlier in January, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G appeared in the Google Play Console’s supported devices list, hinting at its arrival. Samsung has now officially confirmed that the Galaxy M17e 5G will launch in India on March 17.
The smartphone expands Samsung’s Galaxy M series and targets the budget segment with an expected price under ₹14,000. Samsung has revealed most key specifications ahead of the launch and will announce the pricing details on the day.
Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Specifications
The Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ 120Hz display. This phone has a slim 8.2mm design with a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) back panel. It also features an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Galaxy M17e 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor with an Arm Mali-G57 GPU. It runs One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. It also includes Circle to Search, large home screen folders, Now Bar real-time notifications, and Google Gemini AI features. Samsung promises six years of Android and security updates.
On the rear panel, it features a dual camera setup including a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It has an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Samsung will introduce AI features to enhance photo quality and usability.
The Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6000mAh battery, providing up to 26 hours of video playback. It supports 12 5G bands for reliable connectivity.
Samsung will offer the phone in Vibe Violet and Blitz Blue, selling it through its online store, Amazon India, and offline retailers after launch.
